<br />Dr. Craddock moved the long term objectives established in the above listing
<br />be adopted. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
<br />Mr. Leon Barba, Consulting Engineer, came before the Council to summarize
<br />cost estimates for proposed short term objective programs. No action was
<br />taken on the matter.

<br />The City Secretary reported to the Council that the San Marcos Consolidated
<br />Independent School District had approved changes in election procedure to
<br />combine the City and School ballots into a common ballot for the April 1,
<br />1978 election and to allow persons to vote absentee at either the Sch=l
<br />District Office or City Hall. Mr. Breihan moved to approved the combination
<br />of City and School election questions on a common ballot, designation of the
<br />School District Office as a branch absentee voting place for the City and
<br />authorization of the selection of School District personnel by the School
<br />District to serve as deputy absentee voting clerks at the branch polling
<br />place. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion which passed unanimously.

<br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows:

<br />An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of San Marcos,
<br />Amending Section Two of That Ordinance Which Provides for a
<br />Job Classification and Salary Schedule for the Public Safety
<br />Division of the City of San Marcos by Revising the Salary
<br />Schedule.

<br />Ordinances, Entitled "Traffic", Which was Adopted by
<br />Ordinance 1975-14, on March 24, 1975, Located in Vol. 44,
<br />Page 185 of the Minutes of the City Council, by Changing
<br />the Section Number of the Section Entitled "Decreased
<br />Speed Limits", of Said Chapter 29, From Section 29-131,
<br />As Codified; Correcting the Designation of Speed Zones on
<br />Peter Garza Street and Candlelight Lane; Establishing New
<br />Decreased SWed Zones for the Streets Around Bonham
<br />Kfndergarten School; and Providing an Effective Date.

<br />Mr. James moved the Ordinance be adopted on third and final reading.
<br />Mr. Sutton seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
