<br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance and read the caption as follows:

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH
<br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS,
<br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY
<br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS 5, 6 AND PART OF 4, BLOCK 10
<br />IN THE LINDSEY AND HARVEY ADDITION, LOCATED ON THE CORNER
<br />OF HUTCHISON AND MOORE STREETS, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL)
<br />TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL).

<br />Mr. King moved the Ordinance be approved on third and final
<br />reading. Dr. Tauch seconded the motion. On roll call, the
<br />following vote was recorded:
<br />
<br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Dibrell, Etheredge, Flores,
<br />King, Tauch
<br />
<br />NAY: None
<br />
<br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted.

<br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance on third and final reading,
<br />and read the caption as follows:
<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH
<br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS,
<br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY
<br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF LOT 6, BLOCK 20 IN THE
<br />ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS, LOCATED ON HOPKINS STREET,
<br />FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL).

<br />Mr. Flores moved the Ordinance be tabled until the situation
<br />could be further studied. Mr. King seconded the motion, which
<br />passed unanimously.

<br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF A 70 X 135 FOOT PARCEL OF LAND OUT
<br />OF THE T.J. CHAMBERS SURVEY, LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST
<br />CORNER OF RANCH ROAD 12 AND WEST HOLLAND STREET, FROM
<br />"P-2" (PUBLIC USE) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL).

<br />reading. Mr. Dibrell seconded the motion. On roll call, the
<br />following vote was recorded:

<br />THEREFROM AND REMOVAL THEREAFTER OF GARBAGE AND TRASH
<br />CANS; AMENDING SECTION 12-5 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
<br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENTITLED "PLACEMENT
<br />FOR COLLECTION", BY DENOMINATING THE PRESENT SECTION
<br />AS "a", AND BY ADDING A NEW SECTION "b" GOVERNING THE
<br />REMOVAL OF GARBAGE AND TRASH CANS AFTER COLLECTION
<br />THEREFROM.
<br />
<br />Mr. King moved the Ordinance be approved on third and final reading.
<br />Dr. Tauch seconded the motion. Mr. DeLa Rosa stated his objection
<br />to the absence of regulatory powers in the Ordinance. Mr. Cunningham
<br />stated his opposition to the hardship it would impose on disabled
<br />persons. On roll call, the following vote was recorded:

<br />AYE: Dibrell, Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch
<br />NAY: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa
<br />
