<br />regular meeting, july 23~ 1973 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />/7-5 <br /> <br />Dr. Tauph moved a Publ ic Hearing be held August 13, 1973, <br />to consi~er an ordinance amending the General Zoning <br />Ordinance by substituting for the present Section 15, a <br />rev i sed and amended sect, ion under the same number and des i gnat ion, <br />namely, "Land Coverage". Mr. Dibrel I seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF LOT 9 OF THE JOHN SCOTT <br />ADDITION, LOCATED AT 127 SCOTT STREET, FROM "D" (MULTIFAMILY) <br />TO "M" (MIXED). <br /> <br />Mr. Flores moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUtLDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 1 OF THE ELISEO GUERRERO <br />SUBDIVISION, LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF ALEX STREET AND <br />I.H. 35 SOUTH, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C~2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr; Flores moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. <br />Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as fol iows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND_USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF THE WALLACE ADDITION AND PARTITION <br />OF BENITO AND FRANCISCA CRUZ LAND (THAT LAND BOUNDED ON <br />THE NORTH BY THE COUNTY ROAD, ON THE WEST BY STAPLES <br />ROAD [EXCEPT FOR BLOCK 1, LOTS 1 THROUGH 6 OF BLOCK 3, <br />LOTS 1 THROUGH 8 OF BLOCK 6, LOTS 1 THROUGH 8 OF BLOCK 9, <br />AND A 208.7 FEET SQUARE TRACT LOCATED ON THE SOUTH]AND EAST <br />BY THE CITY LIMITS BOUNDARY LINE), FROM "M" (MIXED) AND <br />"0" (MULTIFAMILY) TO "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL). <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. <br />Mr. Dibrel I seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Counci Iman Dibrel I moved to authorize the purchase of office <br />furniture for the Pol ice and Courts Building (see bid sheet <br />attached) from KI ipples Office Equipment Company in the amount <br />of $5,155.50, and auditorium chairs for the Pol ice and Courts <br />Building from Indeco Sales Company for $1,393.45. Dr. Tauch <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />Mayor Etheredge nominated Harold Robbins and moved approval of <br />his appointment to the Bicentennial Commission. Mr. Dibrel I <br />seconded the motion~ which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell nominated Ted Harris and moved approval of his <br />appointment to the Bicentennial Commission. Mr. Etheredge <br />seconded the motion. Mr. DeLa Rosa stated that he felt the <br />pol icy requiring names for appointment to be proposed prior to <br />the meetings, and appointees to be present at the meeting should <br />be followed in al I cases. On roll call, the fol lowing vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Dibrell, Flores, Tauch <br />NAY: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge <br /> <br />Mayor Etheredge announced Mr. Harris appointment would be <br />
