regular meeting, november 27, 1972 page three cZfo The Mayor Pro Tern introduced memoranda from the City Manager (see attached) regarding bids submitted on a truck chassis, compaction unit and containers for the Sanitation Department. Mr. Etheredge moved the truck chassis for the compaction body be purchased, with bid options, from Simon Gregg Ford. Dr. Tauch seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Dr. Tauch moved the compaction body and containers be purchased from Pak-Mor Manufacturing Company, deleting two contai~ers from the contract so as to make the price within the amount budgeted. Mr. Etheredge seconded the motion which passed unanimously. I Councilman Yarbrough moved to request the City Manager to prepare an ordinance as provided for in the Charter to require public util ities companies serving the City of San Marcos'to submit annual reports ~o the Council. Mr. Etheredge seconded the motion which passed unanimously. By common consent, the Council requested a publ ic hearing be scheduled to consider amendments to the Zoning Ordinance which would require restaurants wishing to serve alcohol ic beverages to obtain a "C-2" zoning classification. The City Manager introduced a letter from Or by G. Roots, architect. (see attached) Councilman Yarbrough moved to authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract,with Orby G. Roots and Charlie L. Bellah, Associated Architects, for the purpose of designing the Rio Vista Swimming Pool-Park project. Mayor Flores seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
