ON (a) OF SECT ION 29-166 OF <br />DIVISION 2 OF ARTICLE vTITHEREOF; ANDDECLARI~G <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved adoption of' the ordinance, as an emergency. <br />Mr. Cunningham seconded th~ motion, and on roll cal I, th~ <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, King,' <br />Tauch, Yarbrough <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor dec I ared the o I'd i nance p'assed, Approved and Adopt:ed. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a Follow-up Order for Certificates of <br />Obligation Series B of 1972, numbers 3-through 8 inclu:sive, <br />total ing $3,000. The City Manager explained that the 'Certificates <br />were to, finance construct ion of the Po lice and Courts Bu i I ding, <br />and the architects had approved the request for payment from <br />Syr ing-Workman, Inc'., contractors. Mr. DeLa Ro'sa move'd approva I <br />of the Order as an emergency. Mr. King seconuedthe motion, and <br />on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningh~m, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, Kingi <br />Tauch, Yarbrough <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Order Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor i n'troduced anord i nance and read the fo II ow i ng capt ion: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES .AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, <br />1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS 438 <br />AND 439 IN THE WESTOVER ADDITION, LOCATED AT GIRARD <br />AND "MARLETON STREETS, FROM "R-l" (SI NGLE FAMI LY <br />RESIDENTIAL) TO "R-2" (DUPLEX). <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved adoption of the ordinance on final reading. <br />Mr. Etheredge seconded the mot i on, and on roll ca II, the fo II ow i ng <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, King, <br />Tauch, Yarbrough <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that there were vacanc i es to be :f i lied on <br />se0eral boards. Mrs. Ralph Marker and Mr. Fred Trevino had been <br />nominated for appointment to the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee. <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved that Mrs. Marker and Mr. Tre0ino be app.ointed <br />.to the Senior Citizen's Committee. Mr. DeLa Rosa seconded the motion <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough~moved ~hatRMrl~aR08ney Baughn~be,appointed to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. King ~econded~he motion which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. King moved that Dr. Merry K. Fitzpatrick be appointed to the <br /> <br />Library Board. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion whichpassed <br />unanimously. <br />
