<br />122 <br /> <br />regular meeting, april 22, 1974 <br /> <br />page four <br /> <br />Mr. King read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS~I STRUCTURES AND LAND <br />DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS 25 <br />AND 26 AND PART OF LOT 24 OF BLOCK 14 OF THE SUNSET ACRES ADDITION <br />NUMBER TWO, LOCATED ALONG THE NORTHEAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF <br />HIGHWAY 123 AND ITS INTERSECTION WITH BROADWAY STREET, FROM "c" <br />(COMMERCIAL) TO IC_2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />The Reverend Ira Irvin, Esther Sipes and others present to object to I <br />the change in zoning. Mr. DeLa Rosa moved the Ordinance be approved on <br />second reading. Dr. Tauch seconded the motion. On roll call, the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, DeLa Rosa, Flores, Tauch <br />NAY: Dibrell, King. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND <br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 2.06 <br />ACRES OF LAND OF THE ELIJAH CLARK SURVEY NUMBER ELEVEN, LOCATED <br />ADJACENT TO THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH ON RANCH ROAD 12, <br />FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO IP_2" (PUBLIC USE). <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. DeLa Resa <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. King read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATIDN AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND <br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS <br />205 THROUGH 210 AND 293 THROUGH 298 OF BLOCK 7 AND LOTS 45 THROUGH <br />88 OF BLOCKS 8, 9 AND 10 OF THE WESTOVER ADDITION, LOCATED BETWEEN <br />AMHERST AND BISHOP AND CLYDE AND DELMAR STREETS, FROM "R-I" (SINGLE <br />FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "R-2" (DUPLEX). <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. King reported that a staff recommendation had been made to table the <br />ordinance pending further study regarding the lot, sizes and their relation <br />to duplex zoning. Dr. Craddock moved the Ordinance be tabled. Mr. Dibrell <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 27 <br />OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY REPEALING ALL PREVIOUS TAXICAB RATES <br />OF FARE AND ENACTING A NEW SUBSECTION 27-5 BY ESTABLISHING A <br />SECTION 27-5(c) PROVIDING FOR THE AUTHORIZED RATE OF FARE OF TAXICAB <br />PASSENGERS. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa moved the ordinance be approved on third and final reading. <br />Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, which on roll call passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />LENDING SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE TEXAS CANOE MARATHON. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved the Resolution be approved. <br />motion, which passed unanimously.
