() regular meeting, october 26, 1971 page two Mrs. Emery moved that Mrs. Doriss Hambrick be appointed Deputy City Secretary. Mr. Etheredge seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor opened discussion on a proposed agreement with H. Garland Stokes for extension of utilities to Highson Heights Addition No. One. The City Manager explained what the agreement involved. Mr. King moved that the City accept the propo~al'for extendi~g services to H~ghson Heights Addition No. O'ne. Mr. Flores seconded the motion. W.S. Rader raised I some questions about the lift stations that would service the new addition. After considerable discussion, Mr. King with- drew his motion, with consent of the seconder. Mr. King moved to table the agreement until further informationcpuld be furnished the Cou~cil. The Council approved by unanimous vote a request from Nick Lara for a mobile home permit to be used at 1521 West Hopkins Street. The Planning and Zoning Commission had recommended that the Council approve the request, after the required public hearing. The Council approyed by unanimous vote a request from Kenneth Stuart for a mobile home permit to be used at 119 South Mitchell Street. The Planning and Zoning Commission had recommendijd that the Council grant the request, after the required public hearing. I Councilman Etheredge moved approval on second reading of an ordinance changing the zoning on a tract of land fronting on North LBJ Drive, from "R-1" to "D". Mrs. Emery $ecOAded the motion, which passed unanimously. Councilman King moved approval on second reading of an ordinance changinS the zoning of a 26.05-acre tract out of J.M. Veramendi League No.2, ,from "M" ta "C". Councilman Etheredge seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Councilman King moved approval on second readins of an ordinance changing the zoning on Lots 7 & 8 in the San Marco$ Heights Sub- division from "R"l" to "0". Mrs. Emery seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Councilman Etheredge moved approval on second reading of an ordinance changi ng the zoning on Lots 17 and 24, plus .7'16 acre out of the A. G. Coers Addition, from "R:i.l'~ to "C", located on Ranch Road 12. Mr. Flores seconded the motion. The Mayor read a protest handed to himj ust before the meeting, signed by Otis 'Reese and Laura Whittenberg.
