<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PAGE 4 <br /> <br />3.4 That all applications for inspections shall be accompanied by the <br />inspection fees as hereinafter provided for. <br /> <br />3.5 That after inspecting the electrical w1r1ng covered by any application, <br />the City Electrical Inspector shall leave a tag which shall state that the work <br />has heen inspected and approved, or that it is not approved and must be held open <br />for correction and the Master Electrician notified. If the wiring is to be held <br />open for inspection no person shall lath, coil, Or in any other manner conceal <br />any wiring until they are informed that such wiring has been approved by the <br />Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />3.6 That Master Electrician shall have all his electrical work inspected <br />before such work is ,cov~red or concealed. All cabinet and panel board covers <br />or trims shall be left off for final inspection, and any fitting or cover that <br />conceals any wiring which may hinder the proper inspection of electrical work <br />shall be removed by Master Electrician at the request of the City Electrical <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />3.7 That upon completion and receipt of final, inspection papers covering <br />electrical work, the City Electrical Inspector shall make a final inspection; <br />and if such work is found to comply with this Ordinance, a certificate of inspec- <br />tion shall be issued stating that the work has been done according to the provisions <br />of this Ordinance and the rules governing the respective class to which it belongs. <br /> <br />3.8 That this certificate shall not relieve the Master Electrician of his <br />responsibility for any defective work that may have been concealed or escaped the <br />notice of the Inspector. <br /> <br />3.9 That it shall be unlawful for any ~ublic Service Company operating in <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, to furnish current to any new building, tent, <br />structure or outdoor wiring of any kind, nature or description, without first <br />obtaining clearance from the City Electrical Inspector stating that such wiring <br />is approved and a permit has been isaued for the use of current. Whenever any <br />service is discontinued to any building or structure for any cause whatever <br />(except nonpayment of bill) a clearance will be necessary before said building <br />or structure can be reconnected. <br /> <br />3.10 That there shall be two inspections. (a) Rough-in inspection, or <br />before any work, wire, or device has been concealed; (b) Final inspection after <br />all work has been completed. Request for such inspection shall be made twenty-four <br />hours in advance. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. FEES FOR INSPECTION <br /> <br />4.1 That the permit for installation of any and all electric wiring, appara- <br />tus, equipment, and other electrical work, repairs, operations and renewals, the <br />fees hereunder specifiedghallbe paid by the person applying for the permit to <br />the City Electrical Inspector at the tiute application is made ,for inspection. No <br />permit shall be issued by said Electrical Inspector for less than a minimum fee <br />of Two ($2.00) Dollars. <br /> <br />4.2 That the outlets for electric light or power in or upon any building <br />whether wiring is concealed or open, twenty-five cents per outlet for the first <br />four outlets, ten cents per outlet for the next forty six outlets, and five <br />cents for each outlet over fifty outlets. <br /> <br />4.3 That for service switches, main service switch cabinets, meter loops <br />and main protecting fuses, together with their immediate accessories, each at <br />the same time and place, Two and no/100 ($2.00) Dollars. <br /> <br />4.4 That for each transformer (excepting bell ringing transformer), rec- <br />tifier, or ,similar apparatus, whereby electric current is controlled, modified <br />or impeded, seventy-five ($.75) cents, except as otherwise provided in Section 4.6. <br /> <br />4.5 That for installation of motors over 1/2-horse power or generators and <br />their immediate operating devices, One and no/lOO Dollars ($1.00) each. <br /> <br />4.6 That for electric signs and other equipment in connection therewith, <br />Two Dollars and Fifty Cents ($2.50). <br />
