regular meeting, february 28, 1972 page three I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, EN- TITLED "WATER AND SEWER AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL", BY DELETING THE PRESENT SECTION 30-1,. 30-2 AND 30-5 OF ARTICLE 1 THEREOF; SUBSTITUTING NEW SECTIONS UNDER THE SAME NUMBERS; CREATING NEW SECTIONS 30-7, "DEPOSIT", AND 30-8, "RECONNECT FEES"; DE- LETING THE PRESENT SECTIONS 30-27, 30-28 AND 30-35 OF ARTICLE 11 THEREOF; SUBSTITUTING NEW SECTIONS UNDER THE SAME NUMBERS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE Mr. King moved qpproval of the ordinance on first reading. Mr. Etheredge seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced an ordinqnce with the following caption: AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $200,000 TAX BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PU~CHASING lANDS TO BE USED FOR PARK PURPOSES FOR SAID CITY; PROVIDING FOR THE lEVY, ASSESSMENT AND COllECTrON OF A TAX ON All TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE lIMITS OF SAID CITY TO PAY THE INTEREST AND CREATE A SINK- ING FUND FOR THE REDEMPTION THEREOF; ENACTING PRO- VISIONS INCIDENT AND RELATING TO THE SUBJECT AND PURPOSE OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY I Mr. Yarbrough explained that the Park Bonds had already been sold, but an ordinance was required by the attorneys for the actual issuance of the bonds. Dr. Tauch moved that the ordinance be passed as an emergency measure. Mr. King seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: NAY: None AYE: Dela Rosa, Emery, .Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. A copy is attached and made a part of the Minut~s. The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the following caption: AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE AUTHORITY, RIGHT AND PRIVILEGE TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN A CITY-WIDE TELEVISION SIGNAL DIS- TRIBUTION SERVICE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF AUDIO, VIDEO, AND RADIO SIGNALS; AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS UNDER WHICH SAID SYSTEM SHALL BE OPERATED AND MAINTAINED Mr. DeLa Rosa moved adoption of the ordinance on second reading. Mrs. Emery seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: NAY: ABSTAIN: DeLa Rosa, Emery, Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch None Yarbrough The Mayor declared the ordinance passed on second reading.
