<br />regular meeting, March 27, 1972 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />The Mayor presented an amendment to an appl ication for funds <br />for flood control. He read a letter from Mr. A.H. Dawson; <br />President of the Flood Control District reporting the favor- <br />able returns of the Bond Election held on March 14. The <br />letter is made a, part of 'the Minutes. He then called for <br />discussion on the amendment. Mr. Dawson explained that the <br />purpose of the amendment was to include the Uppel' San Marcos <br />Watershed and Flpod Control District as a co-sponsor fop the <br />Flood District. He, stated that the organization was now <br />working for operptional money and that the Soil Conservation <br />Board had been extended an invitation to hold an officIal <br />meeting in San Mar~os in Mayor June. Mr. Dawson invited <br />the citizens of San Marcos to attend this meeting to show <br />their interest in the program. Dr. Tauch moved approval <br />of the amendment, Mr. .King seconded and the motion passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING,SECTION 3 ~f,THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />R~GULAJES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUilDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND; DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32 ) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF A,20-ACRE TRACT nF LAND OUT OF THE <br />J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE #2, LOCATED 1200' OFF IH 35 NORTH <br />ON THE NORTHEAST FRONTAGE ROAD AT THE REAR Of A 40' DEDI- <br />CATED COUNTY ROAD, FROM "R-1" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) <br />TO "M" (MinD) <br /> <br />~rs.
