I I I regular meeting, apri I 10, 1972 page three The Mayor opened a Publ ic Heari.ng on a request fon change of zoning from "D" to "M" of Lot 82, Park Addition (1007 North LBJ Drive). He asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the change. Mr. John Hansen, owner of the property, explained that he and his wife planned to open a Children's Day Care Center at the location. Mr. King asked Mr. Hansen if he would be wil I ing to put a deed restriction on the ~roperty, if he shou I d se II it, so that. it cou Id not be converted to 'other land use. Mr. Hansen agreed. Mrs. Ruth Thomas enquired if the City had obtained sufficient right-of-way from Mr. Hansen for the street to be widened to 60 feet. The City Manager said Mr. Hansen had agreed to give the necessary right-of-way. There being no further discussion, the Mayor declar~d the Publ ic Hearing closed. The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the following caption: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND lA~D, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOl. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 82 IN THE PARK ADDITION LOCATED AT 1007 NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "D" (MULTIFAMILY) TO "M" (MIXED) Mr. Yarbrough moved approval on first reading. Dr~ Taucih seconded the mot i on, subject to the deed restriction agre.ement. On roll cal I, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough NAY: Etheredge The Mayor declared the ordinance passed on first reading. Mr. Flores introduced for consideration ~ Resolution authorizing the submission of the Legacy of Parks grant application. The City Manager explained that the Resolution had been requested by th~ Department of Hous i ng and Urban Deve lopment to rep I ace the letter authorized by the Councilori March 13, 1972, and that this was merely a procedural requirement. Mr. Yarbrough moved the Resolution be approved, Mr. Etheredge seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. A copy is attached asa part of the Minutes. The Mayor reported that a letter had been received from Jim T. Browri, Executive Director of the Urban Renewal Agency, asking that the City cal I a Publ ic Hearing on the Third Action Year of the San Marcos Neighborhood Development Program, Texr A-6. Mr. King moved that the City hold a Publ ic Hearing on Action Year ,Three of NDP Tex. A-,6 on May 22. Mr. Etheredge seconded the mot~on, which passed. unanimously. The Mayor introduced a Resolution expressing the City's desire to participate in a pilot program for Regional Emergency Medical Services. The City Manager explained that the Resolution, attached and made a part of the Minutes, will accompany' the appl ication to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare for a grant. Mr. Yarbrough moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. King seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the fol lowing caption: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE lOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A 20-ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE J.M.
