<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />regular meeting, apri I 10, 1972 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Publ ic Heari.ng on a request fon change <br />of zoning from "D" to "M" of Lot 82, Park Addition (1007 <br />North LBJ Drive). He asked if anyone wished to speak for <br />or against the change. Mr. John Hansen, owner of the property, <br />explained that he and his wife planned to open a Children's <br />Day Care Center at the location. Mr. King asked Mr. Hansen <br />if he would be wil I ing to put a deed restriction on the ~roperty, <br />if he shou I d se II it, so that. it cou Id not be converted to 'other <br />land use. Mr. Hansen agreed. Mrs. Ruth Thomas enquired if the <br />City had obtained sufficient right-of-way from Mr. Hansen for <br />the street to be widened to 60 feet. The City Manager said <br />Mr. Hansen had agreed to give the necessary right-of-way. There <br />being no further discussion, the Mayor declar~d the Publ ic <br />Hearing closed. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND lA~D, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOl. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 82 IN THE PARK ADDITION <br />LOCATED AT 1007 NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "D" (MULTIFAMILY) <br />TO "M" (MIXED) <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved approval on first reading. Dr~ Taucih <br />seconded the mot i on, subject to the deed restriction agre.ement. <br />On roll cal I, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough <br />NAY: Etheredge <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the ordinance passed on first reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores introduced for consideration ~ Resolution authorizing <br />the submission of the Legacy of Parks grant application. The <br />City Manager explained that the Resolution had been requested <br />by th~ Department of Hous i ng and Urban Deve lopment to rep I ace <br />the letter authorized by the Councilori March 13, 1972, and <br />that this was merely a procedural requirement. Mr. Yarbrough <br />moved the Resolution be approved, Mr. Etheredge seconded, and <br />the motion passed unanimously. A copy is attached asa part <br />of the Minutes. <br /> <br />The Mayor reported that a letter had been received from <br />Jim T. Browri, Executive Director of the Urban Renewal Agency, <br />asking that the City cal I a Publ ic Hearing on the Third Action <br />Year of the San Marcos Neighborhood Development Program, Texr A-6. <br />Mr. King moved that the City hold a Publ ic Hearing on Action <br />Year ,Three of NDP Tex. A-,6 on May 22. Mr. Etheredge seconded <br />the mot~on, which passed. unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a Resolution expressing the City's desire <br />to participate in a pilot program for Regional Emergency Medical <br />Services. The City Manager explained that the Resolution, <br />attached and made a part of the Minutes, will accompany' the <br />appl ication to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare <br />for a grant. Mr. Yarbrough moved approval of the Resolution. <br />Mr. King seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the fol lowing caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE lOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF A 20-ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE <br />J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE #2, LOCATED 1200' OFF IH 35 NORTH <br /> <br />ON THE NORTHEAST FRONTAGE ROAD AT THE REAR OF A 40' DEDI- <br />~~T.E~Mq~~~)Y ROAD, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO <br />
