<br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED ,MAY 23,1966 (VOL. 32) BY
<br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF BLOCK 36, LOTS 1,2,3 AND PART OF
<br />4, OUT OF THE VICTORY GARDENS SECOND ADDITION AT. THE

<br />the Mayor declared the motion faile,d. Mr. Cunningham move'd the
<br />Ordinance be appt'oved on first reading. Dr.' Tauch seconded the motion.

<br />Mrs. Mi Idred Smith, owner of the property, said that fheYequestwas
<br />made so that she could sell the property. Dr. Stanley Sissom, repre-
<br />senting the Planning and Zoning Commission, stated that the Commission
<br />had denied the request since it would break up the "R-1" zoning on
<br />Che'stnut Street. He sa i d that severa I precedents to have "R-l" zon i ng
<br />prevai I in that area had beenestabl ished in the past. After further
