The Mayor read the following three names submitted that afternoon by C'ounc i I man Etheredge for cons i derat i on as appointees to the Board: Mrs. Johnnie Bratton, Mrs. Jack Elder and Mr. ,Juan R. Palomo. Mr. Flores reminded the Counc i I 'that the terms of the incumbents exp ired in August, and that ample notice had been given Councilmen for nomina- tions td be made in advance, in accordance with established pol icy. After discussion, the question being called for, the follow i'ngvote was recorded: I AYE: DeLa Rosa, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough NAY: Cunningham, Etheredge The Mayor declared the motion carried. Mr. King moved that J.O. "Buck" Paine be reappointed to the Housing Board. Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: DeLa Rosa, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough NAY: Cunningham, Etheredge The Mayor declared the motion carried. Mr. Etheredge presented the name of Mrs. Kay Pinkerton for consideration as a member of the Library Board; and the name of Herman Korff, as a member of the Urban "Renewal Bo~rd. Mr. DeLa Rosa presented the name of Mike Aguirre for the Library Board, and Celestino Mendez and Augustin lucio, jr., for appointment to the Urban Renewal Board. The Mayor introduced an ordinance and read the fol lowing caption: I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 5 AND PART OF LOTS MAND 65 IN THE pARK ADDITION, APPROXIMATELY 1.26 ACRES OF LAND, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "R~2" (DUPLEX) Mr. Etheredge moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading.
