The Mayor introduced a resolution with the followin~ caption; A RESOLUTION DECLARING A PUBLIC NECESSITY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF FEE SIMPLE TITLE TO CERTAIN PRIVATELY OWNED REAL PROPERTY IN SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES, TO-WIT: CONSTRUCTION OF SESSOM DRIVE; AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS THROUGH ITS ATTORNEYS PURSUANT TO CONTRACT WITH THE CITY TO INSTITUTE AND PROSECUTE TO CONCLUSiON CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS TO ACQUIRE SO MUCH THEREOF AS CANNOT BE ACQUIRED THROUGH NEGOTIATION, Owners of the property in question are Robert D. and Gloria Walts. Mr, Etheredge moved the resolution be approved. The motion was seconded by Mr. King. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, F I ores~ King, Tauch and Yarbrough NAY: None The Mayor declared the resolution Passed and Approved. Dr. Emmie Craddock, chairman of the Charter Review Commission, came before the Council to present a report of the Commission's activities to date. She Bnd Col, Jack Sto~al I, member of the Commission, presented ~everal ideas the Commission had been discussing. Dr. Craddock stated that the Commission felt that the Charter was workable, and in no need of major revision at this tifue, She further stated that the Commission would present its final recommendation at a I ateI' date., Other l"embers of the Comm i ss i on present were Mr. James Green, Mr, Augustin Lucio, jr., and Mr, Richard Santellano.
