I I I reasonable expenses incurred by the buyer for keeping the same; provided, that the property shall be redeemed from the buyer within thirty (30) days after the date of the sale, excluding the date of the sale, otherwise title to the personal pIOperty shall become absolute in the buyer. VI. WHEN IMPOUNDER TO SELL IMPOUNDED PROPERTY: When any personal property, other than motor vehicles, is not redeemed within thirty (30) days after being impounded, and when any motor vehicle is not redeemed after compliance by impounder with the provisions of Section VIII. hereof, the same may be sold in the manner designated by the City Manager. VII. NOTICE OF SALE OF IMPOUNDED PROPERTY: Before selling any personal property as provided for in this ordinance, the impounder shall post two (2) notices thereof, one at the Hays County Court House door and one at the North Guadalupe Street entrance of the City Hall, and shall cause a copy thereof to be published in a newspaper regularly published in the City of San Marcos once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks, the date of the first publication to be at least fourteen (14) days prlor to the day of the sale. The notice of sale shall describe the impounded property, state that the same is unredeemed, state that the same will be sold, designate the place of sale, the manner of sale, and state a time and date of sale which shall nothe less than fourteen (14) days from the date of the first posting of such notices. VIII. PROCEDURE FOR DISPOSING OF IMPOUNDED MOTOR VEHICLES: (A) When any motor vehicle has not been redeemed within thirty (30) days from the date of its impoundment, it shall be the duty of the impounder to submit to the appropriate agency of the State of Texas, and the similar agency of the proper state when the vehicle is from another state, all information in his possession concerning such vehicle and to request that such department -3-
