<br />I <br /> <br />supply to the impounder all information the records of that <br />department contain on such vehicle. Immediately on receipt of <br />such information from such department, the impounder shall notify <br />the owner and lienholders, as shown by the records of such <br />department, by registered or certified mail, with return receipt <br />requested, that such vendc1e has been impounded and of the <br />provisions of this ordinance in regard to the redemption and <br />sale of impounded property. <br />(B) In the event that a motor vehicle has not been redeemed <br />within fifteen (15) days from the receipt of the return receipt <br />or notice of nondelivery of such registered or certified mail, the <br />impounder shall prepare a notice of sale of such vehicle, in the <br />manner described in Section VII. hereof. A notice of such sale <br />shall be sent by registered or certified mail, return receipt <br />requested, to the address shown on the records of the highway <br />department, and shall constitute notice of the pending sale to <br />such owner or lienholders. <br />(C) When the impounder is unable to ascertain the names <br />of the owner and lienholders, and the motor vehicle has not been <br />redeemed within forty-five (45) days of its impounding, no notice <br />of sale other than posting and advertising as prescribed in Section <br />VII. hereof shall be required. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />IX. <br />PROCEDURE FOR SELLING IMPOUNDED PROPERTY: When any impounded <br />property is not redeemed by the date and time designated in the <br />notice of sale, the impounder shall sell such property in the <br />manner designated by the City Manager, and execute a bill of sale <br />of such property to the purchaser thereof; provided, that the <br />impounder shall execute or deliver only a conditional bill of sale <br />until the title of the buyer has become absolute by the expiration <br />of thirty (30) days in time, exclusive of the day of sale, without <br />being redeemed by the owner of the impounded property. <br />X. <br />DISPOSITION OF PROCEEDS OF SALE OF IMPOUNDED PROPERTY: After <br />deducting the fees to which the impounder is entitled pursuant <br />-4- <br /> <br />~ <br />
