33 regular meeting, august 26, 1974, page four Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following ordinance on second reading: AN ORDINANCE DEDICATING A CERTAIN TRACT OF REALTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF A PUBLIC MUSEUM; SAID TRACT TO BE USED FOR A MUSEUM, CONSTRUCTED UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF THE TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC.; PROVIDING FOR THE BUILDING TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN FIVE (5) YEARS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER I OF SAN MARCOS TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS WITH TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC. AND TO TAKE ALL STEPS NECES- SARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENTS AND PURPOSES EXPRESSED HEREIN. Mr. Sutton moved the ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Flores seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following ordinance on third and final reading: AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING PORTIONS OF MATTHEWS STREET IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; RELINQUISHING TO JAMES H. McCROCKLIN AND DR. ARLEIGH B, TEMPLETON ALL RIGHT, TITLE, AND INTEREST OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS IN AND TO SUCH PORTIONS OF MATTHEWS STREET; AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SAN ~ffiRCOS TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO THE SAID PERSONS QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO SAID PORTIONS OF MATTHEWS STREET. Mr. Sutton moved approval of the ordinance. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. The ordinance was passed, approved, and adopted. Mayor Craddock read the caption of the following ordinance on third and final reading: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PARCEL OF LAND OUT OF 52 ACRES OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, BEING LOCATED WITHIN AND A PART OF THE PAUL J. ROGERS TRUST, FURTHER BEING APPROXIMATELY 4.79 ACRES FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). I Mr. Sutton moved approval of the ordinance. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. The ordinance was passed, approved, and adopted, Mayor Craddock asked the Council to consider the appointment of Mr. Celestino Mendez and Mr. Herman Korff to the Urban Renewal Com- mission. Mr. Dibrell moved to table the appointments until the next Regular Meeting. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. Mayor Craddock asked the Council to appoint alternate members to the Subdivision Review Committee. Mr. Sutton moved that Mr, Art Ables be appointed. Mr. Hansen seconded the appointment which was unanimously approved, Mayor Craddock asked the Council to consider the reappointment of Dr. I Nilon Tallant as Health Officer for the City. Mr. Dibrell moved that Dr. Tallant be reappointed. Mr, Hansen seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Breihan, Dibrell, Craddock, Hansen, Sutton NAY: Flores Dr. Ni10n Tallant was reappointed as Health Officer for the City. Mayor Craddock asked the Council to consider the appointment of a Deputy City Secretary. Mr, Hansen moved that Susan Fritsche be appointed. Mr. Dibrell seconded the motion which passed unanimously,
