<br />42 <br /> <br />regular meeting, s~ptember 9, 1974 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />Mr. Flores moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE, Breihan, Dibrell, Craddoek, Flores, Hansen, Sutton <br />NAY: Cunningham. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER lB <br />OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY ENTITLED "PARKS AND RECREATION", <br />BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED l8-S ENTITLED "PROHIBITING MOTOR <br />VEHICLES IN PUBLIC PARKS". <br /> <br />Mr. Flores moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 18 <br />OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY ENTITLED "PARKS AND RECREATION", <br />BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 18-6 ENTITLED "ESTABLISHING <br />REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN PUBLIC PARKS". <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Sutton <br />seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Breihan, Dibrell, Craddock, Hansen, Sutton <br />NAY: Cunningham, Flores. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT CERTAIN <br />ORDINANCE CREATING THE BELVIN STREET HISTORICAL DISTRICT BY ADDING TO <br />AND INCLUDING IN SAID HISTORICAL DISTRICT THAT PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE <br />MASONIC TEMPLE, AND DELETING FROM SAID DISTRICT THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY <br />OWNED BY NELL MONTGOMERY. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Flores <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinanee as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING CODE TO GOVERN <br />SPECIFICATIONS, MATERIALS, METHODS, MAINTENANCE, ETC; PROVIDING FOR THE <br />ADMINISTRATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES <br />FOR VIOLATIONS. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Ordinanee on third reading. Mr. Flores <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor declared the Ordinance <br />Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddoek read:' the eaption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DEDICATING A CERTAIN TRACT OF REALTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />A PUBLIC MUSEUM; SAID TRACT TO BE USED FOR A MUSEUM, CONSTRUCTED UNDER <br />THE MANAGEMENT OF THE TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC.; PROVIDING FOR THE <br />BUILDING TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN FIVE (S) YEARS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE <br />OF THIS ORDINANCE;' AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAN MARCOS TO ENTER <br />INTO CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS WITH TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC. AND TO <br />TAKE ALL STEPS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENTS AND PURPOSES EXPRESSED <br />HEREIN. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Ordinance on third reading. Mr. Breihan <br />seeonded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock declared <br />the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br />
