On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE, Breihan, Dibrell, Craddoek, Flores, Hansen, Sutton NAY: Cunningham. The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER lB OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY ENTITLED "PARKS AND RECREATION", BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED l8-S ENTITLED "PROHIBITING MOTOR VEHICLES IN PUBLIC PARKS". Mr. Flores moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY ENTITLED "PARKS AND RECREATION", BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 18-6 ENTITLED "ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN PUBLIC PARKS". Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion. The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE CREATING THE BELVIN STREET HISTORICAL DISTRICT BY ADDING TO AND INCLUDING IN SAID HISTORICAL DISTRICT THAT PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE MASONIC TEMPLE, AND DELETING FROM SAID DISTRICT THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY NELL MONTGOMERY. Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Flores seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinanee as follows: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING CODE TO GOVERN SPECIFICATIONS, MATERIALS, METHODS, MAINTENANCE, ETC; PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS. Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Ordinanee on third reading. Mr. Flores seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. Mayor Craddoek read:' the eaption of an Ordinance as follows: I AN ORDINANCE DEDICATING A CERTAIN TRACT OF REALTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF A PUBLIC MUSEUM; SAID TRACT TO BE USED FOR A MUSEUM, CONSTRUCTED UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF THE TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC.; PROVIDING FOR THE BUILDING TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN FIVE (S) YEARS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE;' AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAN MARCOS TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS WITH TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC. AND TO TAKE ALL STEPS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENTS AND PURPOSES EXPRESSED HEREIN. Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Ordinance on third reading. Mr. Breihan seeonded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted.
