113 regular meeting, december 9, 1974 page two The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS TO BEGIN INCURRING COSTS FOR THE PLANNING AND PREPARATION OF AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS UNDER THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974. Mr. Cunningham moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion. Mr. Sutton moved the Resolution be amended to set a $2,000 limit ori funds to be encumbered under this Resolution. Mr. Flores seconded the motion. On the vote to amend the Resolution, the results were as follows: AYE: Cunningham, Flores, Sutton NAY: Breihan, Dibrell, Craddock, Hansen. I The Mayor declared the motion failed. On roll call, the vote to approve the Resolution as presented was recorded as follows. AYE: Breihan, Cunningham, Dibrell, Craddock, Hansen NAY: Flores, Sutton. The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CHARGE OF FEES FOR COPIES OF OFFICIAL RECORDS, THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, AMENDMENT THERETO, BLUEPRINTS, AND OTHER REPRODUCED MATERIALS AVAILABLE FROM THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion. Council discussed the fee schedule. Mr. Breihan moved the Resolution be amended to require a lSC charge for single, reproduced pages. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The motion to approve the amended Resolution also, on roll call, passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock read a Resolution commending members of the City staff for services performed during the flood alert occurring November 23/24, 1974. Mr. Breihan moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. I The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 23 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS BY ADDING TO SECTION 23-1 A REQUIREMENT THAT EACH CANDIDATE POST A DEPOSIT AND ADDING TO SECTION 23-2 A NINETY DAY LIMITATION FOR THE POSTING OF PRINTED MATERIAL. Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE WHICH ESTABLISHES THE CLASSIFICATION OF ALL POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN, THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS OF EACH CLASSIFICATION, AND THE SALARY IN STEPS FOR EACH CLASSIFICATION, BY AMENDING THAT SECTION NUMBERED 2-31 ENTITLED "JOB CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY" SO AS TO CHANGE THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED POSITIONS FOR FIRE TRAINEE AND FIREFIGHTER FROM 24 IN NUMBER TO 23 IN NUMBER. Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. I The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDING, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF LOT 24 AND ALL OF LOTS 25 AND 26 IN BLOCK 14 OF THE SUNSET ACRES ADDITION NUMBER TWO, LOCATED ALONG THE NORTHWEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF HIGHWAY 123 A:r ITS INTERSECTION WITH BROADWAY STREET, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C_2" (COMMERCIAL).
