<br />26 <br /> <br />regular meet~ng, may 12, 1975 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of a Resolut~on as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C01lNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETHEEN SAID CITY AND THE COMMUNITY ACTION <br />AGENCY PROVIDING FOR THE FUNDING AND OPERATION OF A SENIOR CITIZENS <br />PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br />SAME IN BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Dibrell requested a breakdown of the proposed budget be submitted by Community <br />Action Agency before the Resolution was approved. Mrs. Ofelia Vasquez, Executive <br />Director of Community Action, reported that she did not have the requested break- <br />down for distribution at the moment, but that she would provide it at the earliest <br />opportunity. She st~ted that the budget would be similar to the one approved for <br />the program administered by the Parks and Recreation Department of the city, and <br />that approximately $15,000 would be used for administrative costs. On roll call, <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Arredondo, Craddock, Flores, Hansen, Sutton <br />NAY: Breihan, Dibrell. <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read the caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY 0Ji' SAN <br />MARCOS CONCERNING FURNISHING OF STAFF AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE BY THE <br />CITY FOR ADMINISTRATION OF URBAN RENEWAL PROJECTS. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Flores seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Henry Kyle carne before the Council to ask if the positions concerned were <br />budgeted. He was informed that they were included in the Community Development <br />Budget. On roll call, the motion to anprove.the Resolution waS unanimously <br />approved. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVlN1K <br />THE PROPOSED ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE, JOB DESCRIPTIONS, AND POSITIONS FOR <br />THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AND SUPPORTING PERSONNEL. <br /> <br />Mr. Arredondo moved approval of 'the Resolution. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Sutton stated his objection to,increasing the staff. On roll call, the motion <br />was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read the caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLl(TION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OJ" SAN. MARCOS, TEXAS, SUPPORTING <br />'THE RETENTION OF 1~ATER FROM CANYON LAKE IN THE GUADALUPE RIVER j,IATERSHED AND <br />A'vTHORtZ~NG:' THE' MAYOR TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE COUNCIL IN SUPPORT OF THIS POLICY . <br /> <br />Mr. Flores moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF Tl'IE CITY OF SAlI! MARCOS, TEXAS, DTSAlIlNRXmG CERTAIN RFAL PROPERTY <br />PRESENTLY INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Breihan moved approval of the Ordinance approving the disannexationof the <br />Hughson Meat Company on third and final reading. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. <br />On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Breihan, Dibrell, Craddock, Flores; Hansen <br />NAY: Arredondo, Sutton. <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br />
