VIDING FOR INSPECTION FEES TO COVER T~~,EXPENSE OF INSPECTION; PROVI1)I1lG FO,\ PRELIMINARY SEWAGE DIGPOSAL TREAT~NT OF SEVIAGE FROM ABATTOIRS; PROVIDING 'PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HE~~ITH AND CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. TEXAS: SECTION 1. No person. firm or corporation shall ex- pose and offer for sale, or sellar otherwise dispose of, or have in his possession for purpose of sale for human consumption. with- in the City Limits of San Marcos, any meat of any cattle, calf. sheep. swine or goat which does not have on each primal part of it the meat inspection brand or other mark of indentification of the J I Meat Inspection Division, Health Department of the City of San Marcos, the mea t inspection brand or mark of indentifi.cation of the United States Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Industry or the meat inspection brand or mark of identification of such municipality whose meat inspection standards and construction stan- dards are equivalent to that maintained by the City of San Marcos and recognized by the Chief Meat Inspector. City Health Dopartment of the City of San Marcos. If ~y carcass of. any ani~l hereinbe- fore named. or pf;imal part thereof found, offered for sale or ex- posed wi thir. t'hf City of San Marcos. w.'lich does not bear any of the meat inspection brands or marks recognized by the Chief Meat Inspec- tor of the City of San Marcos, said Chief Meat Inspector or City Sanitarian shall take possession of and destroy such meat or exclude I same from the City Lim~ts of San Marcos. v. SECTION 2. No person, firm or corporation shall ship, send. bring, or cause to be brought into the City of San Marcos. the meat of any cattle. calf, sheep. swine, or goat which does not bear on each primal part. thereof the meat inspection brand or other mark of indentification required by this ordinance. // ''-., ~ 1.
