<br />:. <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHER~AS, the City Council deems it advisable and to the <br /> <br />best interest of said City to give notice to bidders and notice <br /> <br />of intention to pay all or a part of the contract price by <br /> <br />the issuance and delivery of such interest bearing time warrants; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF SAN lffiRCOS. <br /> <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized, ordered and <br /> <br />directed to do all things necessary and/or convenient to have <br /> <br />published the notice required by Chapter 163, Acts of the Regular <br /> <br />Session of the 42nd Legislature of Texas, as amended; that said <br /> <br />notice shall signify the intention of the City Council to receive <br /> <br />bids for the construction of two fire stations and shall specify <br />the time ~~d place when and where bids will be received, and it <br /> <br />shall be published in said City once each week for two consecu- <br /> <br />tive weeks prior to the time set for receiving bids, the date <br /> <br />of first publication to be at least fourteen (14) full days <br /> <br />prior to the date set for receiving bids; said notice shall pro- <br /> <br />vide that all bids shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond or <br /> <br /> <br />certified check in the S1L1Jl of five (5%) per cent of the total <br /> <br />8~lount of the bid; that said notice shall also convey the informa- <br /> <br />tion that it is the intention of the City to pay all or a part <br /> <br />of the contract price by the issuance and delivery of interest <br /> <br />bearing time warrants in an &1Jlount not exceeding $85,000.00, <br /> <br />to bear interest at a rate not to exceed three and one-half <br /> <br />(3-1/2%) per cent per annum, and having a maximum maturity <br /> <br />date not later than twenty-two (22) years from their date, <br /> <br />to be authorized by the City Counci 1 0 f said Oi ty for the <br /> <br />purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the Oi ty of San <br /> <br />lfcarcos to be incurred,in constructing two fire stations in <br /> <br />said City; and said notice shall contain such additional informa- <br /> <br />tion which shall be deemed necessary; and that said notice shall <br /> <br />be substantially in worels and figures as shown in the form <br /> <br />attached hereto. <br /> <br />ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2Jrd day/Of <br /> <br />{/~'t(/~;[, <br />~, CI <br /> <br />ATJ:BST: <br /> <br /> <br />~ -~----/ - /' <br />",/ / <br />~?-t---. .-"!tc<"'~*," <br />C l'l'~.z.D RI!;TA, <br />
