<br />The Mayor announced that .the ordinance had been finally <br /> <br />passed. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The ordinance is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE <br /> <br />AUDITING AND ALLOWING CLAIMS FOR INDEBTEDNESS INCURRED <br />IN_CONSTRUCTING FIRE STATIONS AND PURCHASING .SITES <br />THEREFOR IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INCLUDING <br />ARCHITECT I S FEE IN. CONNECTION THEREWITH; AUTHORIZNG THE <br />DELIVERY OF CITY.OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION. AND. EQUIPMENT <br />WARRANTS TO EVIDENCE. SAID INDEBTEDNESS; . AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, heretofore on September 7t}1,1955, the City Council <br /> <br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, passed an ordinance authorizing <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />the issuance of CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT <br />WARRANTS, dated August 15, 1955, Numbered 1 to 85, inclusive, in <br />the denomination of $1,000 each, aggregating $85,000, bearing 3~% <br />interest per annum, and maturing on August 15th, $10,000 in 1974, <br />$25,000 in 1975, $25,000 in 1976, and $25,000 in 1977, for the <br /> <br />purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos <br />to be incurred in constructing fire stations and purchasing sites <br />therefor in said City, including architect's fee in connection <br />therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for the City; which <br />ordinance is of record in Book 19, page 66, et seq'J Minutes of <br /> <br />said City Council; and, <br />WHEREAS, the following claims, duly verified, have been <br />presented to the City Council of said City: <br /> <br />DATE <br />1-5-56 <br /> <br />PAYEE <br /> <br />PURPOSE <br /> <br />AMOUNT <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />Mrs. Minnie B.
