E. Sanderson. The Council after SOfie discussion, <br />instructed Mr. McV'iilliams to confer with lvir. Seymour Lee, Sewell Pa:tk caretaker, and <br />Mr. Cecil Gregg, about the care of trees. <br /> <br />~J <br /> <br />Next husiness to come Defore the Council were two Resolutions to the e'frect that <br />the City reto.in Ernest Morgan and Tom CJ. Oliver, Jr. as attorneys to represent the <br />City and that they be authorized, empowored and directed to file suits in eminent domain <br />to acquire the fee simple title, against certain land ownerS and lienholders of property <br />required fer Highway 81 Right-Of-Way, namely Service Investment Corporation in the one <br />instance and Mrs. ViTginia D. Cox in the other instance. These said Resolutions are <br />appended to, and form a part of these minutes, After a short discussion Mr. Korff <br />moved adoption of the Resolutions and was seconded by Mr. Hillburn. The Resolutions <br />were put to separate votes, which resulted in each case unanimously in favor of each <br />motion, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Barbee then submitted to the Council a suggested payment schedule forcthe <br />Fire Station Refunding Bonds. He stated the City m~ght well purchase the block of <br />bonds 1970 through 1975 totalling $50,000.00 with Highway 81 Right-of-Way Funds, to <br />hold as seCLJrity or resale later as neceSSary. He noted they could be bought at par. <br />Aftar some discussion the Council unanimously instructed Mayor Allen, giving him full <br />authority in the clatter, to deal with Rus~; & Company for the purchase of the $50,000.00 <br />in bonds, using every ondet;VOT to pay the lowest price 'pos'sible for same..
