I .~ r ~ I , /7c AN ORDL~ANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY, AND THE INHABITANTS THEREOF, ADJOINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN rfJARCOS, INTO SA ID CITY 0]' SAN f'llARCOS. Heretofore, by instrument duly filed in the offices of the City of San Marcos, a municipal corporation in Hays County, Texas, operating under the General LaW, three inhabitants of the hereinafter described territory made affidavit to the effect that a majority of the inhabitants of said territory, qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature. voted in favor of becoming a part of said city; and this Governing Body, havj,ng examined said affidavit. and having examined the written instrument by whioh said majority of said inhabitants voted in favor of becoming a part of this city, does here now find that said territory adjoins the present city limits line; that said territory is less than one-half mile in width; that a majority of the inhabitants of said territory qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature have voted in favor of becoming a part of this city; that three of said inhabitants of said territory have made affidavit to the Mayor of this city to the foregoing facts; that the Mayor of this city has certified, and does here now certify, such facts to the Governing Body of this city; that said territor-y, and the inhabitants thereof, under the law and under the foregoing facts, should be received as a part of this city; that said territory is described as follows by metes and bounds: PARCEL I: BEGL~NING at a point of intersection of the Northeast line of Chestnut Street with the Northwest Line of Jlla tthews Street, and THENCE with the Northwest line of MattheWS Street to the intersection of this line with the Northeast line of Cherry Street, and
