~,

,225

5. Mr. E. O. Wiley has filed a delinquent tax suit for the School District
against Tract 1, } of Lot 6, Block 2, Lindsey-Harvey Addition. This
property is located on Harvey Street. The city Attorney will represent
the City as this item was turned over to him for collection prior to the
employment of a delinquent tax attorney. Total taxes including penalty
and interest amounts to $665.40.

I

Alderman Beecroft reported to the Council that Mr. Sam Lyle had been to
see him in numerous occasions regarding the installation of water lines to
additional houses he anticipates building in the Park Place Addition. Mr. Lyle
suggests that he install a 2n water line rather than a 6n water line in accor-
dance with Subdivision Ordinance requirement. The following excerpt of Mr.
Sam Lyle's letter of December 9th, 1957, was read to the Council:

"2. Water, I will, at my own expense, run a private water line
from the nearest city water main, the connection thereto being
made at a spot designated by the City of San Marcos water engineer, which
line shall be entirely at my expense with no recovery rights and shall
serve only the residence which I may erect for my own personal use.
Prior to the time that any lot is sold and residence erected thereon
I will install a satisfactory water line which will be in accordance
with the requirements of the ten existing city ordinances of the C]f
of San Marcos."

It was the Council's finding that no special exceptions should be made in this
instance and all requirements of the City Subdivision Ordinance should be followed
as agreed in Mr. Lyle's letter.

There being no further business, on motion made and seconded, the meeting
adjouraed at 4:15 P.M., to reconvene on January 22, 1959, at 3:00 o'clock P.M.

(I, -7')'\ ~. {rx " /
\. \j .
