27 Regular Meeting April 27, 1981 Page 3 Mrs. Norris moved that the Ordinance be approved on first reading and Mr. James seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Cavazos, James, Stokes, Norris and Tarbutton. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Brown. Mr. Brown's memo dated April 27, 1981 is attached to these minutes indicating his reason for abstention. Mr. Stokes introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second read- ing, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 0.467 ACRES OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. ONE, LOCATED ON HUNTER ROAD, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTU~AL~OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "C" (CO~MERCIAL). Mr. Cavazos moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Stokes introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second read- ing, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 45.70 ACRES OUT OF THE J. M. VERA2~ENDI LEAGUE NO. TWO, LOCATED ON I.H. 35 NORTH, FROM "D" (MULTI-FAMILY), "M" (MIXED) AND "C" (CO~V~ERCIAL) TO "C" (CO~@J[ERCIAL) AND "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL). Mrs. Norris moved that the Ordinance be approved on second reading and Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Stokes directed that the Ordinance be amended to better define the two tracts prior to third reading. Mr. Stokes introduced for third and final reading an Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN ~.~ARCOS, TEXAS, A3~ENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 30 ACRES OUT OF THE RIVER RUN SUBDIVISION, LOCATED ON RIVER ROAD, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "D" (MULTI- F~4ILY DWELLING DISTRICT). Mrs. Norris moved that the Ordinance be adopted and Mr. James second- ed the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James instructed the Staff to notify all Council Members prior to any building permit being issued for such property.
