PROVIDING FOR FEES, BONDS AND THE <br />KEEPING OF RECORDS, AND THE REVOCATION OF LICENSES; <br />PROVIDING FOR ELECTRICAL INSPECTORS ~ND PRESCRIBING THE <br />DillIES AND POWERS OF SAID OFFICERS; PROVIDING FOR THE <br />ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR ELECTRICAL WORK AND THE INSPECT- <br />ION THEREOf, ,.t.ND FIXIN5' THE FEES FOR SUCH INSPECTION; <br />PROMULGATING RULES AND REGULATIONS TO GOVERN ALL ELECT- <br />RICAL WIRING, CONSTRUCTIO!'l, INSTALLATION, ALTERATIONS, <br />REPAIRS., OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE! OF ELECTRICAL WIRING <br />APPARATUS AND FIXTURES; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE <br />VIOLATION OF TIDS, ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR A SAVING <br />CLAUSE;. REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES, AND DECLAR- <br />ING AN EMERGENCY; AS AMENDED MAY 2, 19~O; <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />THAT THE ABOVE CAPTIONED ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED, BE <br />FURTHER AMENDED BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />SECT ION 1. <br />(n) Maintenance Electric License Restricted - <br />Any person who is regularly employed by one employer <br />upon a permanent basis to do work of an electrical nature, <br />restricted to maintenance, repair, relocation or replace- <br />ment, of any electrical conductor or equipment pertaining <br />to branch circuits, or similar work within the confines <br />of the building or premises of said employer. <br /> <br />(0) Apprentice Electrician - Any person assisting <br />in the installation of electrica~ng under the direct <br />supervision of a, Master Electrician or Journeyman <br />Electrician as defined in this Section. <br /> <br />ART ICLE IV. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. ~i.~0 ?j~-~ <br />(a) This subsection is del~}ed in its entirety and, ' <br />a, n~w subsection substituted tBerefor as follows: ~ <br /> <br />(a) No person shall engage in the business <br />of contracting for, installing, altering or' <br />repairing any electrical work within the City <br />of San Marcos, or any area regulated by this <br />Ordinance, unless said person has been issued, <br />and is currently in force, a Master Electdcian's <br />License, a Journeyman's Electrician's License <br />or a Maintenance Electric License Restricted as <br />herinafter specified, except as may otherwise <br />be set out hereinafter. <br /> <br />(b) There shall be added to this Subsection <br />the following: <br /> <br />Each person desiring a Journeyman Electrician's <br />License as hereinafter specified, shall make a <br />written application for and pass an examination <br />approved by the Electrical Board and shall pay <br />the City of San Marcos an annual fee of Five <br />Dollars ($5.00) for the first year or fraction <br />thereof and Five Dollars ($5.00) for each <br />succeeding year for the renewal of said license. <br /> <br />i~~ <br />
