42a )'1;;"' ~ ~ ~1'B :z:;,. ~ (f) Each person desiring to apply for a Maintenenace Electrician Restricted License as hereinafter provided, shall make written application for and pass an examination approved by the Electrical Board and shall pay the City of San Marcos an annual fee of Five Dollars (5.00) for the first year or fraction thereof and Five Dollars ($5.00) for each succeeding year for the renewal of said license. There shall be added to this Subsection the fOllowing wording. An examination for a Journeyman Electrician's I License shall be of such a nature as to clearly sho~ 'he applicant!s ability to satisfactorily follow written and verbal instructions and a thorough knowledge of the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, this Ordinance and such other recognized requirements pertain- ing to electrical work as shall be required by the Electrical Board. A grade of 75% must be obtained by the applicant for the issuance of a Journeyman Electrician's License. The holder of the said license shall be employed by and do work under the supervision of a Master Electrician. An applicant for a Maintenance Electrical License Restricted shall obtain a grade ot 75% on an examination designed to sho~that the applicant has a thorough and satisfactory knowledge of the work to be done, the latest edition of the National Electricaf Code, this Ordinance and such other recognized pertinent requirements to do electrical work. (h) Ther:wording' of this Subsect~on shall be deleted in its entirety aOd the following wording substituted therefor. I when an applicant has satisfactorily complied with all of bhe requirements of this Ordinance, ~he Electrical Board shall instruct the Electri- cal Inspector to issue to the applicant the license for which he has qualified.
