Alderman Ruiz <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor requested that Aldermen present their motions in writing, <br />effective irrroediately. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />An Ordinance providing that the City deed an alley to Charles A. Zunker <br />was introduced. Alderman Pool moved the enactment of the Ordinance, <br />subject to the City Attorney's approval. Alderman Moore seconded the <br />motion of adoption, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAINING: <br /> <br />Moore, Pool, Ruiz, SWift <br />None <br />Stokes <br /> <br />Whereupon, the Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted, <br />subject to the provision of the motion. <br /> <br />It was agreed by mutual consent to defer the items of previous business <br />on the Agenda to an Executive Session after other business was concluded. <br /> <br />Alderman Swift moved to set a public hearing on the proposed 1963-1964 <br />Budget for Tuesday, May 21, 1963, at 7:30 p.m. Alderman Stokes seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Alderman Swift moved that the Council receive the petition for annexation <br />(Parcel Three) from the Highway Department. Alderman Stokes seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I~ <br /> <br />Alderman Swift moved that the Council receive the petition for annexation <br />of property on RM 12 from the Hfughway Department. Alderman Stokes seconded <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Alderman Swift moved the enactment of an Ordinance. Caption of the Ordinance, <br />which was read in full, is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR BORROWING MONEY AND ISSUING <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS GENERAL FUND CURRENT EXPENSE WARRANTS <br />TO THE AMOUNT OF $60,000.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYlNG <br />CURRENT OPERATING EXPB'lSES DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1963-1964; <br />PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PRlNCIPAL AND INTEREST OF <br />SAID WARRANT S <br /> <br />Alderman Moore seconded the motion of adoption, and on roll call, the <br />folloWin9 vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes, Swift <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />Whereupon, the Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />Alderman Swift moved that "the City Manager be instructed to present <br />Council actions on Cemetery acted on at March 19, 1963 meeting to San <br />Marcos Planning Commission at its next regular or special meeting." <br />Alderman Ruiz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Swift moved "that upon recommendation of the San Marcos Planning <br />CommiSSion, the Council lease the Coy DeViney home to the Girl Scouts. <br />Further,that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a lease conform- <br />ing to the Planning Commission recommendations, to be presented at its <br />next meeting." Alderman Ruiz seconded the motion. Alderman Moore moved <br />that "this be tabled until we can go over the recommended plans by the <br />Planning Commission". The motion died for lack of a second.
