Alderman Ruiz seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The Mayor requested that Aldermen present their motions in writing, effective irrroediately. I An Ordinance providing that the City deed an alley to Charles A. Zunker was introduced. Alderman Pool moved the enactment of the Ordinance, subject to the City Attorney's approval. Alderman Moore seconded the motion of adoption, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: ABSTAINING: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, SWift None Stokes Whereupon, the Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted, subject to the provision of the motion. It was agreed by mutual consent to defer the items of previous business on the Agenda to an Executive Session after other business was concluded. Alderman Swift moved to set a public hearing on the proposed 1963-1964 Budget for Tuesday, May 21, 1963, at 7:30 p.m. Alderman Stokes seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Alderman Swift moved that the Council receive the petition for annexation (Parcel Three) from the Highway Department. Alderman Stokes seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. I~ Alderman Swift moved that the Council receive the petition for annexation of property on RM 12 from the Hfughway Department. Alderman Stokes seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Alderman Swift moved the enactment of an Ordinance. Caption of the Ordinance, which was read in full, is as follows: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR BORROWING MONEY AND ISSUING CITY OF SAN MARCOS GENERAL FUND CURRENT EXPENSE WARRANTS TO THE AMOUNT OF $60,000.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYlNG CURRENT OPERATING EXPB'lSES DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1963-1964; PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PRlNCIPAL AND INTEREST OF SAID WARRANT S Alderman Moore seconded the motion of adoption, and on roll call, the folloWin9 vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes, Swift NAY: None Whereupon, the Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. Alderman Swift moved that "the City Manager be instructed to present Council actions on Cemetery acted on at March 19, 1963 meeting to San Marcos Planning Commission at its next regular or special meeting." Alderman Ruiz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. I Alderman Swift moved "that upon recommendation of the San Marcos Planning CommiSSion, the Council lease the Coy DeViney home to the Girl Scouts. Further,that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a lease conform- ing to the Planning Commission recommendations, to be presented at its next meeting." Alderman Ruiz seconded the motion. Alderman Moore moved that "this be tabled until we can go over the recommended plans by the Planning Commission". The motion died for lack of a second.
