The boundaries of these districts are indicated upon <br />the Zoning Map of the City which is adojX ed with and <br />declared to be a part of this Chapter. All notations, <br />references, and other information shown upon said <br />Zoning Map is hereby made a part of this Ordinance, <br />and shall be conSidered as much a part of the same <br />as if the matters of information set forth thereby were <br />all fully contained and described herein. Said map <br />shall, on the face, be identified and verified In the <br />following manner: It shall bear title "ZONING MAP OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS", and shall bear <br />the names of the Governing Body, the City Manager, <br />and the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />and the date of its adoption. It shall bear the signature <br />of the Mayor, attested by the City Secretary, and the <br />Official Seal of the City affixed thereto. Changes and <br />amendments shall be properly noted and dated. A replica <br />thereof shall be produced upon paper in such reduced <br />scale as to permit said replica being attached to the <br />transcription of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 6 <br /> <br />PROHIBITED USE: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Upon and after lawful adoption of this Ordinance, no land <br />shall be used and no building shall be erected for or <br />converted to, any use other than provided in the regulations <br />prescribed for the district in which it is located except as <br />may be hereinafter. provided. <br /> <br />SECTION 7 <br /> <br />NE:WLY ANNEXED TERRITORY: <br /> <br />All territory hereafter annexed to the City of San Marcos, <br />shall be temporarll y classified Single-Famlly dwelling <br />purposes only until permanently zoned by the Governing <br />Body. The City Planning and Zoning Commission shall, <br />as soon as practical after annexation of any teTfitory to <br />the City. institute proceedings on its own motion, to give <br />the newly annexed territory a permanent zoning, follOwing <br />the same procedure as is provided by law for the adoption <br />of original zoning regulations. <br /> <br />SECTION 8 <br /> <br />"R" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />USE RESTRICTIONS: In an "R" Single-Family Dwelling <br />District, no land shall be used and no building shall <br />be erected for or converted to any other use than: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1. Single-Family Residences <br />2. Telephone exchanges, provided no public <br />business and no repair of storage facUities <br />are maintained. <br />3.
