SECTION 15 PARKING I Adequate off-street parking shall be provided for all land uses in the City of San Marcos. The number of parking spaces considered adequate for each district which a use is proposed in the following areas shall be: 1. "R" Districts', two parking spaces for each famil y dwelling. 2. "D" Districts, two parking spaces shall be provided for the first dwelling unit plus one space for each additional dwelling unit; 3, "M" Districts, two parking spaces shall be pro- vided for each dwelling plus one space for each additional dwelling unit,except for businesses which shall require three plus one parking space for each 125 sq,ft. of floor area. 4, "P" Districts are as follows: Classrooms - one space for each classroom plus one for each fen students. Libraries - one space for each 500 sq.ft. of floor area. Laboratories - one space for each 500 sq. ft. of floor area. Fraternity houses - one space for each two beds. Sorority houses - two spaces for each five beds. Student centers - one space for each 600 sq, ft. of floor area. Auditoriums - one space for each three seats. Stadiums - one space for each three seats. Dormitories, Women - two spaces for each five beds. Dormitories. Men - one space for each two beds. The above regulations a thru J shall not apply to private schools which do not permit students to bring motor vehicles to the institution; however, the educational institution shall be required to provide adequate off-street parking for faculty, administrative personnel, and athletic ev'ents including visiting of parents and/or other personnel.
