<br />PROCLAMAT ION <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each year there is an increasing loss of life <br /> <br />and property resulting from fires caused by carelessnesS <br /> <br />and poor fire prevention; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, only by a thorough program of fire prevention <br /> <br />will we be able to effectively decrease this terrific <br /> <br />loss of life and property; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Frank Taylor, Mayor of the City of <br /> <br />San Marcos, Texas, do hereby procla im the weeb-.6f <br /> <br />October 6 - 12 as FIRE PREVENTION WEEK and do earnestly <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />urge all citizens to actively participate in promoting <br /> <br />and practicing effective fire prevention in their homes, <br /> <br />schools and businesses throughout the year. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and <br /> <br />caused the seal of the City of San Marcos to be affixed. <br /> <br />.
