if' , L) t, IS7 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING THAT PORTION OF AN ALLEY BETWEEN CONCHO AND WOODS STREETS ADJACENT TO BLOCK FOUR OF THE H. B. COFFIELD ADDITION, GIVING AND GRANTING UNTO THE STATE OF TEXAS THE RIGHT AND PRIVILEGE TO PHYSICALLY CLOSE SAID PORTION OF SAID ALLEY FOREVER; AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF ALL OF THE RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS IN AND TO THE CLOSED AND VACATED POR- TION OF SAID ALLEY UNTO THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE COLLEGE. I Heretofore, the Governing Body has determined, and does hereby determine, that the hereinafter described portion of an alley between Concho and Woods Streets adjacent to block four of the H. B. Coffield Addition will not be needed or desired for the public use in the future; and it having been made known to the Governing Body of this city that the State of Texas has heretofore purchased. and is now the owner of, all property abutting on both sides of said portion of said alley; that said State of Texas desires that formal action be taken by the Governing Body of this city vacating and closing said portion of said alley, and authorizing said State of Texas to physically close the same; and said State of Texas has requested that I all right, title and interest of this city in and to the vacated and closed portion of said alley be conveyed to the State of Texas for the use and benefit of South- west Texas State College. It has heretofore been determined by this Governing Body and is hereby now detennined, that the hereinafter described portion of said alley has been closed, abandoned and vacated, and that the same is not necessary or desirable for traffic; and that the best interests of the City of San Marcos will be served by the closing of said portion of said alley. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION I. The hereinafter described portion of said alley within I the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, shall be, and it is here- by closed, abandoned, and vacated, the portion of said alley hereby closed, abandoned and vacated being described as follows: BEGINNING, at a point, which point is the Southeast corner of Lot 2, Block 4, H.
