<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I...... <br />:::r: <br />;>0; <br />=' <br />t;\t <br />L _' <br /> <br />n <br />! <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of land <br />not exceeding one-half 0/2) mile in width, being cont iguous and <br />adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of <br />the State Legislature, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to <br />annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said <br />petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part <br />hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San <br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, herein- <br />after described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby <br />received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits <br />of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said <br />strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed <br />shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by <br />the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with law. <br /> <br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as <br />as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING, at a point in the City Limit Line which point <br />is the Southeast corner of Lot 8, Block 4, being the North- <br />west corner of Lot 15, as recorded in Volume 164, Page <br />586 of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction along a common line <br />between Lots 7 and 16 to a point which point is the North- <br />west corner of Lot 16; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the common line <br />between lots 16 and 17 to a point in the Northwest line of <br />Dale Drive, which point is the Southeast corner of Lot 16; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the Northwest <br />right-of-way line of Dale Drive, Southeast property line of <br />Lots 16, 15, and 14, to a poInt, which point is the South- <br />east corner of Lot 14; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the common line <br />between Lots 14 and 13 to the Northeast corner of Lot 14; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the common line <br />between Lots 9 and 14 of Block 4, to a point which point <br />is the Northwest corner of Lot 14 and a point in the City <br />Limit Line, continuing along the said City Limit Line to the <br />Northwest corner of Lot 15 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 8th day of March, A.D., <br />1965. <br /> <br />Attest: ('\ <br />Ct(~~~ '. i~:i!: !i t.'\) ':~ OQ&8.'~7I1 ,/7(/ <br />~~A::L . :.\~j_~\..!J:..' ~L(j/- <br />CIty Sec e /y <br />,.-j <br /> <br />/ (" <br />- .- (AtZ~:y 9::~.J;A..<---<,,~ <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tempore <br />
