<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land
<br />not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and
<br />adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of
<br />the State Legislature, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to
<br />annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said
<br />petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "AU and made a part
<br />hereof for all pertinent purposes; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San
<br />Marcos to annex said strip of 1 and within its municipal limits;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, herein-
<br />after described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby
<br />received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits
<br />of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said
<br />strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed
<br />shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by
<br />the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with law.

<br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as
<br />follows:
<br />
<br />BEGINNING at a point in the City Limit line being the South-
<br />east line of Larue Drive and said point being the Northwest
<br />corner of Lot 6, Block 4, Oak Heights Addition; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the common line
<br />between Lots 5 & 6 to a point, which point is the Southwest
<br />corner of Lot 6; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the common line
<br />between Lots 6 & 17, Block 4, to a point, which point is
<br />the Southeast corner of Lot 6; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the common line
<br />between Lots 6 and 7, Block 4, to the Northeast corner of
<br />Lot 6, a pOint in the Southeast line of Larue Drive, and
<br />which point is the City Limit Line; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the Southeast
<br />line of Larue Drive to the Northwest corner of said Lot 6,
<br />the PLACE OF BEGINNING, as recorded in Vol. 164, Page
<br />586, of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas.

<br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 8th day of March, A. D.,
<br />1965.
