<br />regular meeting, june 14, 1965 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />(' <br /> <br />Alderman Pool introduced an Ordinance annexing a portion <br />of the F.P. Dannel ley Addition, and moved its adoption. <br />The annexation petition, signed by John J. Stokes, was <br />received by the Counci lat the May 10th meeting. Alder- <br />man Damon seconded the motion, and on roll call, the foll- <br />owing vote aas recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and <br />Adopted. <br /> <br />A I derman Poo I introduced an Ord i nance annex i ng a port i on <br />of the E.B. Ezel Ie Estate, and moved its adoption. The <br />petition for annexation, signed by Mr. and Mrs. Mickey <br />Poo I, was recei ved by the Counc i I at the May lOth meet i ng. <br />Alderman Froh seconded the motion, and on 1'01 I cal I, the <br />fol lowing vote was recorded; <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and <br />Adopted. <br /> <br />By common consent of the Counci I, action on the annexation <br />petition of Gai I Gafford was deferred 30 days, unti I the <br />property is contiguous to the City Limits. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />An application from Cornel io Alvarado for a permit to op- <br />erate a taxi cab in San Marcos was received by the Counci I. <br />The provisions of the Taxi Cab Ordinance were discussed. It <br />was agreed by common consent that the matter would be deferred, <br />pending investigation of the applicant, as provided in the <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud an Interim Report on several items of <br />City business, prepared by the City Manager, see copy attached <br />as a part of the Minutes. Counci Imen expressed approval of <br />this type of interim report. <br /> <br />Alderman Pool moved that a street light be instal led at the <br />corner of East Coma I and Ca II i han A II ey, in response to a <br />written request from Mr. and Mrs. Wi Ilis Callihan. Alderman <br />Whittenberg seconded the motion and on roll cal I, the fol low- <br />ing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Manager informed the Counci I that under a previous <br />arrangement with the Sheriff of Hays County, the City has <br />been paying $1.00 per day for use of the County Jai I for <br />City prisoners. Mr. Ful IeI' said Sheriff Kinser had requested <br />that the fee be raised to tl.50 per day, to compensate for the <br />increased cost of food. Alderman Damon moved that the County <br />be paid $1.50 per day for City prisoners.
