He re- ported bad drainage on Barbara Drive, and asked that a ditch be dug on the East side of Barbara Drive to correct the condition. The Mayor asked the City Man- ager to investigate the drainage problem. D.W. Stur- divant, another resident of Barbara Drive, also spoke on the flooded condition that occurs after a heavy rain. The Mayor introduced an Ordinance setting the tax rate for the fiscal year 1965-1966. The Ordinance is made a part of the Minutes. Alderman Pool moved the adopt- Ion of the Ordinance setting the tax rate at $2.00 per $100. valuation. Alderman Froh seconded the motion, and on roll cal" the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Wh1ttenberg None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. I Alderman Pool introduced an ordinance annexing property in San Marcos Heights on petition of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Parker, and moved its adoption. The Ordinance is made a part of the Minutes. I Alderman Tuttle introduced an Ordinance annexing property on petition of T.J. Mostyn, and moved its adoption. Alder- man Pool seconded the motion. A discussion ensued, with special reference to the water lines required to service the area. Upon being requested by the Mayor to clarify the matter, the City Manager said; "The area, under the City's plan, calls for a loop - a six-inch line. There has been some question whether a six or an eight-inch I ine should be installed. The proposed sub-division (the Mostyn property under petition for annexation) wi II carry a six-inch line up Feldmont and tie into the exist- ing two-inch I ine. It wi II be necessary for the sub-div- ision to furnish fire protection... at the time when the sub-division is approved, a six-inch line wi I I be stipu- lated."
