He re- <br />ported bad drainage on Barbara Drive, and asked that <br />a ditch be dug on the East side of Barbara Drive to <br />correct the condition. The Mayor asked the City Man- <br />ager to investigate the drainage problem. D.W. Stur- <br />divant, another resident of Barbara Drive, also spoke <br />on the flooded condition that occurs after a heavy rain. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an Ordinance setting the tax rate <br />for the fiscal year 1965-1966. The Ordinance is made <br />a part of the Minutes. Alderman Pool moved the adopt- <br />Ion of the Ordinance setting the tax rate at $2.00 <br />per $100. valuation. Alderman Froh seconded the motion, <br />and on roll cal" the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Wh1ttenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and <br />Adopted. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Pool introduced an ordinance annexing property <br />in San Marcos Heights on petition of Mr. and Mrs. Marion <br />Parker, and moved its adoption. The Ordinance is made a <br />part of the Minutes. Mostyn, and moved its adoption. Alder- <br />man Pool seconded the motion. A discussion ensued, with <br />special reference to the water lines required to service <br />the area. Upon being requested by the Mayor to clarify <br />the matter, the City Manager said; "The area, under the <br />City's plan, calls for a loop - a six-inch line. There <br />has been some question whether a six or an eight-inch <br />I ine should be installed. The proposed sub-division <br />(the Mostyn property under petition for annexation) wi II <br />carry a six-inch line up Feldmont and tie into the exist- <br />ing two-inch I ine. It wi II be necessary for the sub-div- <br />ision to furnish fire protection... at the time when the <br />sub-division is approved, a six-inch line wi I I be stipu- <br />lated."
