regu I ar meet i ng, august 9, 1965 page four (,: r\ t- el The Mayor read aloud Item 4 of "Matters for Con- sideration" prepared by the City Manager, as follows: "On July 12th, the Counci I accepted the dedi- cation of Warden Lane, subject to certain res- tr i ct ions. I t has been discovered that there is an indebtedness against this street as a result of the contractor who bui It the street not being paid in ful I. Whi Ie the City has agreed to accept the street, subject to the restrictions, it is recommended that the Coun- ci I withdraw its offer unti I such time as the encumbrance on the street is settled. The us- ual restrictions on the street would be a part of the acceptance". I The Mayor added his recommendation to that of the City Manager, that the Council withdraw its offer to accept Warden Lane unti I the encumbrance on the street is removed. Alderman Damon commended the City Manager for bringing the matter to the attent- ion of the Counci I. Alderman Pool moved that the action accepting Warden Lane as a City street be rescinded. Alderman Froh seconded the motion, and on rol I call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the motion carried. I Alderman Damon introduced an Ordinance closing and vacating certain streets in the F.P. Danne/ley Addition, and moved its adoption. It was recalled that action on this Ordinance had been deferred, pending further investigation. The City Manager stated that the City Attorney had given an opinion that the Ordinance might be safely adopted as pre- sented. Alderman Pool seconded the motion, and on roll cal I, the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. It was agreed by common consent to defer appoint- ment of a Health Officer. re- The Mayor recommended/appointment of L.F. Martin and Joe Redriguez to the Local Public Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Alderman Damon moved approval of the Mayor's recommendation to reappoint L.F. Martin and Joe Rodriguez to the LHA Board of Commissioners.
