<br />regu I ar meet i ng, august 9, 1965 <br /> <br />page four <br /> <br />(,: <br />r\ t- <br />el <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud Item 4 of "Matters for Con- <br />sideration" prepared by the City Manager, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />"On July 12th, the Counci I accepted the dedi- <br />cation of Warden Lane, subject to certain res- <br />tr i ct ions. I t has been discovered that there <br />is an indebtedness against this street as a <br />result of the contractor who bui It the street <br />not being paid in ful I. Whi Ie the City has <br />agreed to accept the street, subject to the <br />restrictions, it is recommended that the Coun- <br />ci I withdraw its offer unti I such time as the <br />encumbrance on the street is settled. The us- <br />ual restrictions on the street would be a part <br />of the acceptance". <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor added his recommendation to that of the <br />City Manager, that the Council withdraw its offer <br />to accept Warden Lane unti I the encumbrance on the <br />street is removed. Alderman Damon commended the <br />City Manager for bringing the matter to the attent- <br />ion of the Counci I. Alderman Pool moved that the <br />action accepting Warden Lane as a City street be <br />rescinded. Alderman Froh seconded the motion, and <br />on rol I call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Damon introduced an Ordinance closing and <br />vacating certain streets in the F.P. Danne/ley <br />Addition, and moved its adoption. It was recalled <br />that action on this Ordinance had been deferred, <br />pending further investigation. The City Manager <br />stated that the City Attorney had given an opinion <br />that the Ordinance might be safely adopted as pre- <br />sented. Alderman Pool seconded the motion, and on <br />roll cal I, the fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved <br />and Adopted. <br /> <br />It was agreed by common consent to defer appoint- <br />ment of a Health Officer. <br /> <br />re- <br />The Mayor recommended/appointment of L.F. Martin <br />and Joe Redriguez to the Local Public Housing <br />Authority Board of Commissioners. Alderman Damon <br />moved approval of the Mayor's recommendation to <br />reappoint L.F. Martin and Joe Rodriguez to the <br />LHA Board of Commissioners.
