After much discussion it was consensus <br />of Council to divide into two groups consisting of: <br /> <br />1. Cavazos, Brown and Mendez; <br /> <br />2. Norris, James and Kreczmer; <br /> <br />and the two groups meet separately to discuss thei~ ideas about the <br />Bond program, then have a Workshop with everyone present the first <br />week in ~June. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration an Ordinance on emergency, <br />read in its entirety, the caption which follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ~4ENDING ORDINANCE 1980-37, ADOPTED <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1980, WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE <br />OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH DEPARTMENT, DIVISION <br />AND OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1980, AND <br />ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1981, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY <br />FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE <br />TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID <br />FUNDS ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLAR- <br />ING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration authorizing bidding on an arti- <br />culated front end loader (Bobcat) for the Treatment Plant. Mrs. Nor- <br />ris moved to authorize bidding on an articulated front end loader and <br />Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration the aWarding of bid for the <br />construction of Victory Gardens Phase III improvements. Mrs. Norris <br />moved to approve the awarding of bid for the construction of improve- <br />ments to Austin Road Company in the amount of $261,551.45 upon the <br />recommendation of Kelly Kilber, as well as this being the low bid <br />received for the project. Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced the reconsideration of bid for a sideloader <br />chassis. The Council had previously approved the purchase of a die- <br />sel sideloader chassis from Chuck Nash Chevrolet, but Chuck Nash <br />Chevrolet was unable to deliver the chassis desired. Upon the re- <br />commendation of John Sanford, Mr. James moved to approve the low bid <br />of Chuck Nash Chevrolet in the amount of $36,025 for the gasoline <br />sideloader and Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion.
