Section 2. The above listed fines shall apply to first offenders only who file a plea of "Guilty" in connection with the offense for which they are charged. Section 3. In all cases involving an accident, the defendants involved must appear be~ore the judge of the corporation court. If a defendant is under the age of seventeen years, one of his parents or his legal guardian must appear in the corporation court with said minor upon a hearing of his case. I Section 4. Defendants who are not residents of Hays County, Texas, shall not have to make personal appearance in the corporation court upon a hearing of their case where there is no bodily injury involved; and in all such instances of non-appearance, the court, in its discretion, may levy the minimum fine in the amount above--provided for the particular offense with which the de~endent is charged. Section 5. All laws, ordinances, and resolutions of the City of San Marcos in any- wise in conflict with any of the terms and provisions of this ordinance, shall be, and the same are hereby repealed. Section 6. If any article, subdivision, paragraph, clause, section, phrase, or sentence of this ordinance, or the application thereof to a particular person, set of persons, or to a particular set of circumstances, should, for any reason, be held invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining provisions hereof, and to such end the various provisions hereof are declared to be separable.
