Mr. Froh <br />asked ror a report on the relocation transaction <br />at the next meeting. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Pool said he had been inrormed by the <br />Federal Aviation Agency that naming the new raci li- <br />ties at Gary "San Marcos Municipal Airport" had <br />produced a duplication, and that it would necessi- <br />tate giving the old airport a new name. Alderman <br />Whittenberg moved that the old airport be re-named <br />"Robert Lowman Airport". Alderman Damon seconded <br />the motion and on roll ca", the rollowing vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance changing the date <br />of the fiscal year. Caption of the ordinance, which <br />was read in ru II, is as fo II ows : <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE FISCAL YEAR OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FROM JULY 1ST THROUGH <br />JUNE 30TH TO JANUARY 1ST THROUGH DECEMBER 31ST, <br />SUCH CHANGE TO BE EFFECTIVE RETROACTIVELY FOR <br />1966; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES <br />OR RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Tuttle moved adoption or the Ordinance. <br />Alderman Pool seconded the motion. In the discussion <br />wh i ch ro II owed, it was exp I a i ned that expense warrants <br />were to be issued, and that according to law, the City <br />must show proor or ability to repay the expense warrants <br />within the riscal year. Since the few reamining months <br />would not be surricient time in which to make the pay- <br />ments, changing the riscal year became necessary.
