I Alderman Pool said he had been inrormed by the Federal Aviation Agency that naming the new raci li- ties at Gary "San Marcos Municipal Airport" had produced a duplication, and that it would necessi- tate giving the old airport a new name. Alderman Whittenberg moved that the old airport be re-named "Robert Lowman Airport". Alderman Damon seconded the motion and on roll ca", the rollowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the motion carried. The Mayor introduced an ordinance changing the date of the fiscal year. Caption of the ordinance, which was read in ru II, is as fo II ows : AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE FISCAL YEAR OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FROM JULY 1ST THROUGH JUNE 30TH TO JANUARY 1ST THROUGH DECEMBER 31ST, SUCH CHANGE TO BE EFFECTIVE RETROACTIVELY FOR 1966; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH I Alderman Tuttle moved adoption or the Ordinance. Alderman Pool seconded the motion. In the discussion wh i ch ro II owed, it was exp I a i ned that expense warrants were to be issued, and that according to law, the City must show proor or ability to repay the expense warrants within the riscal year. Since the few reamining months would not be surricient time in which to make the pay- ments, changing the riscal year became necessary. Arter more discussion, the question being cal led ror, the roll- owing vote was recorded: AYE: Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg NAY: None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. 1< The Mayor introduced an ordinance authorizing the issuance of $60,000. in expense warrants.
