<br />regu I ar meet i ng, may 23, 1966 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />and on 1"01 I cal I, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Frrih, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motiori carried. <br /> <br />.1 <br /> <br />The Mayor asked if the Counc i I wou I d be agreeab I e to <br />the' Park Board's ~ppointi~g a bea~tification committee. <br />They agreed by common consent. <br /> <br />Don Enni~ of W.H. Tiner Insurance Agency came before the <br />Counci I to discuss iosuranc~ on th~ hangar' at Municipal <br />Airport. He explained that. when the City acquired the <br />Airport property in Februa~y,he agreed to put the hangar <br />under binder for $100,000. The rates have nowbeen pub- <br />lished, he said, as $2.93 per $100 valuation. This would <br />mean an annual premium of $1304 . If the A i rport were <br />brought into the City Limits, the premium would sti I I be <br />$1100. After discussion, Alderman Whittenberg moved that <br />the hangar be insured for $25,000 for five years, on a <br />note b~sis. Alderman Korff seconded the motion'and on <br />1"01 I call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Froh, Korff, Whittenb~rg <br />NAY: Pool <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion car~ied. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an Ordinance and read the caption: <br /> <br />I 1 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DECLARING VACATED, ABANDONED AND <br />CLOSED A CERTAIN PO~TION OF ALBEMARLE STREET, <br />A PART OF THE H~B. COFFiElD ADDIIION TO THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS; AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE- <br />CUTION OF A DEED BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS TO SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE COLLEGE <br />OF ANY INTEREST THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS MAY <br />HAVE IN SUCH PORTION OF SAI.D STREET <br /> <br />Alderman Pool moved adoption of the Ordinance, which is <br />attached as a part of the Minutes. Alderman Froh second- <br />ed the motion and on 1"01 I c~1 I,the fol lowing vote was <br />recorded :. <br /> <br />AYE: Froh, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordin~nce Passed, Approved and <br />Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an Ordinance and read the caption: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, tREATING THE EXAMINING <br />AND SUPERVISING BOARD OF ELECTRICIANS AND PRE- <br />SCRIBING IT~ POWERS AND DUTIES; CREATI~G THE <br />OFFICE OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR AND PRESCRIBING <br />HISF\}WERS 'AND DUTIES; PROVIDING FOR THE LICENS- <br />ING OF ELECTRICIANS, THE MANNERAND WAY INWHICH <br />CERTAIN ELECTRICAL WORK SHALL BEDONE,THE KIND <br />AND CLASS OF MATERIALS TO BE USED IN SUCH WORK <br />AND THE SCALE OF FEES FOR SUCH INSPECTION; REQUIR- <br />ING PERMITS fOR CERTAIN KINDS OF ELECTRICAL WORK; <br />REPEALING ALL ~RDINANCES, OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES, <br />IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND FIXING A PENALTY OF A <br />FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $1.00 AND NOT MORE THAN <br />$200.00 FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. <br />
