Establishing a Ghal'ge: An Adminis- <br />trative Chal'ge will be made for each bicycle license <br />and I'egistl'ation issued pUl'suant to this ordinance. <br />Such administl'ative chal'ge shal I be used to defray <br />the cost of the license plate, I'egistration cel'tifi- <br />cate, and inspection of the bicycle, Theadministrat, <br />ive chal'ge sha II be One Do 1.1 ar ($1.00) pel' yeal', or <br />fl'actional pal't thereof, non pl'o-I'atable. In addition, <br />a charge of Twenty-five Cents (25~) shall be made fol' <br />tl'ansfer of any license or the issuance of a duplicate <br />license. <br /> <br />SECTION IX, Penalty: Any person, f~rm, partnership, <br />or corporation who violates this Ordinance 01' any por- <br />tion thereof, shaJ I, upon conviction, be gui Ity of a <br />misdemeanor and be punished by a fine of not more than <br />One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION X. Impounding: Any bicycle found, which <br />is in violation of this Ordinance, shall be impounded <br />by the Police Department. A charge of Twenty-five <br />Cents (25~) per day shal Ibe made for each bicycle so <br />impounded. The bicycle shal I not be released until <br />the impounding charges shal I have been paid and the <br />bicycle is properly licensed. Any bicycle so impound- <br />ed and not reclaimed by the legal owner,shall be sold <br />at public auction sixty (60) days after the date.of <br />impoundment. Proceeds of the sale shal I be remitted <br />to the General ~und of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />SECT I ON X I. Sav i ngs Clause: I f any word, phrase, <br />clause, sentence or section of this Ordinance is held <br />to be i nval i d by a court of competent jur isdict ion, it <br />sha II not affect the rema i n i ng sect ions of thi s Ord i nance. <br /> <br />SECTION XI I.
