City. The City Manager explained that <br />the street connects Loop 82 with Thorp Lane, and <br />serves as a main entrance to Hays County Memorial <br />Hospital. The street was bJ'ck-topped by Asa Dees <br />and has now deteriorated to such an extent that it <br />wil I eventually have to be resurfaced. Mr. Dees <br />contends that Mrs. Zunker st i II owes him $400 for <br />the construction of the street. If the City does <br />not accept the street for dedication, it wi II prob_ <br />ably become a street by prescription within the next <br />few years, as it has been used by the pub I i c for a <br />long period of time. The City Manager recommended <br />that the street be accepted for dedication, and that <br />Mr. Dees be paid approximately $200 for the material <br />used between Loop 82 and the property I ine of Warden <br />Lane. The matter was ~horoughly ~iscussed. Alderman <br />Whittenberg moved acceptance of Warden Lane, and the <br />payment of $200 to Asa Dees, with proper assurance <br />that the City would not be liable for any further <br />payment. A Iderman Damon seconded the mot i on. He stated an Ord- <br />i nance had been passed October 9, 1962, wh i ch provi ded <br />for closing the Cemetery. at niBht. but it had not been <br />enforced. Alderman Froh moved that the Counci I ratify <br />the 1962 Ordi nance and approve i tsenforcement; and that <br />through traffic in the Cemetery be stopped. A.lderman <br />Whittenberg seconded the motion and on rol I cal I, the <br />fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Damon, Froh, Korff, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tern declared the motion passed. <br /> <br />Dr. Pool read aloud a recommendation from the City Man- <br />ager that the City Park be closed at 10:30 p.m. Alder- <br />lJlanKorff. moved that the City Manager be author i zed to <br />have an ord i nance prepared, stat ing c los i n9 hours' for <br />the City Park.
