<br />regular meeting, october 10, 1966 <br /> <br />page four <br /> <br />Alderman Froh called attention to the monthly report <br />of the Health Unit, which showed that 15 X-rays had <br />been given at the Health Unit office. He said he <br />felt there were probably many more cases of tubercu- <br />losis than those reported, and requested t~at a full <br />report on the incidence of the disease, and the pro- <br />gram to combat it, be given to the Counci 1 at the <br />next meeting. The City Manager said he would for- <br />ward the request. <br /> <br />Dr. Pool said the City Manager needed authorization <br />to ask for bids on two garbage trucks; and to ask for <br />bids on gasoline and lubrication supplies, on a year- <br />ly basis. Alderman Damon moved that the City Manager <br />be authorized to cal I for bids on the two garbage <br />trucks; and to get bids on a yearly basis for gasoline <br />and lubrication suppl ies. Alderman Froh seconded the <br />motion and on rol I cal I, the following vote was recoeded: <br /> <br />AYE: Damon, Froh, Korff, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tem declared the mot~on carried. <br /> <br />Dr~ Pool remirided the Counci I that if it wished toapcept <br />Rodgers Storey's "compromise propos~l" (a "swap-out" of <br />the 16ft. a II ey for 16 feet of hi s property on Water St.) <br />the Ordinance vacating the al ley would have to be adopted <br />and the transfer of property executed. Dr. Pool read the <br />caption of the Ordinance, which had been read,at the <br />September meeting. Alderman Whittenberg moved adoption <br />of the Ordinance. Alderman Froh asked if the City Attor- <br />ney had approved the O~dinance.The City Manager said <br />Mr. Walker had w~itten the Ordinance and prepared the <br />papers of transfer, after studying the property and the <br />circumstances surrounding the al ley.
