r , regular meeting, January 9, 1967 page four The Mayor read aloud a communication from~he Planning &> Zoning Commission, recommending a chang~ of zoning fro~ "R" to "0" on the Wilson property, Lots 3 &> 4,Co II ege Heights ,Addition. The Mayor eXplained that a change of zoning requires an ordinance amending the zoning map, and read aloud the ordinance. Caption of the ordinance is as fol lows: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING I MAP OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, BY CHANGING A PARCEL OF REAL PROPEl/1TY, LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FROM ITS PRESENT ZONING AS "R", SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "Dfl, MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT Alderman Korff moved approval of the change in zoning of the Wi IsDn property f~om "R" to "0", and adoption of the ordinance ~mending the zoning map. Aldermah Damon seconded the motion and on roll calt, the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the motion carried, and the Ordinance Passed,Approved and Adopted. The Mayor announced that an auditing firm must be ap- pointed for the 1966 Audit. Alderman Korff moved ap- pointment of Ernst &> Ernst, the firm that has been employed by the City for the past several years. Alderman Pool seconded the motion and on roll cal I the fol lowing vote Was recorded: I AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the motion carried. The Mayor introduced for discussion the City's present policy for issuing parking meter permits to certain officials and firms. The City Manager reminded the Counci I of his recommendation ~ year ago. The matter was discussed. Alderman Korff said he would like to know what other tities do about permits. After further discussion, it was agreed by common consent to defer a decision unti I the next meeting. The Mayor read aloud a letter from J.T. Brown, Executive Director of Urban Renewal Agency, with an accompanying statement of money which the City owes on the Chautauqua Hi I I Project. Alderman Pool moved the account be paid. Alderman Damon seconded the motion. The matter was dis- cussed. On roll call, the fol lowing vote was recorded: I AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the motion carried.
