<br />used tractor-loader warrants ordinance <br /> <br />NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE TIME WARRANTS BY THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given by the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas to issue TIME WARRANTS for <br />the purpose of financing the purchase of the following <br />described equipment: <br /> <br />(a) Two (2) eighteen cubic yeard rear-loading <br />refuse collecting bodies mounted on 1967 <br />Chevrolet trucks. <br />(b) Two (2) 1967 police cars. <br />(c) One (1) used tractor-loader. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Such warrants shall be in the total amount of <br />$26,938.86, such sum to bear interest at the rate of <br />4~% per annum, to be payable on or before 5 years <br />from date thereof, and shall be issued on or before <br />the 13th day of February, 1967, unless prior to said <br />date ten percent of the qualified voters of the City <br />of San Marcos, whose names appear on the last approved <br />tax rolls as property taxpayers, petition the City <br />Council in writing to submit to a referendum vote the <br />question as to the issuance of said warrants for such <br />purposes. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />By /5/ Ellis Serur, Mayor <br /> <br />/s/ Dorothy O. Worrell <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it further appears and the City Council I <br />affirmatively so finds and declares that no protest or other <br />objection has been filed with or presented to the City Secretary, <br />or the Mayor, or the City Council, by ten percent in number of <br />the qualified voters in said City, whose names appear in the <br />last approved tax rolls as property tax payers, or by any other <br />number of the qualified voters of said City, requesting a re- <br />ferendum vote, or otherwise protesting, or objecting to, the <br />issuance of said interest bearing time warrants in payment for <br />said tractor-loader; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Girard Machinery & Supply Company of <br />San Antonio, Texas, has submitted the lowest bid, namely, <br />$6,800.0B, for a tractor-loader meeting the specifications <br />set forth in the above notice; <br /> <br />THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas: <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />does hereby authorize the Mayor and the City Secretary to accept <br />from said Girard Machinery & Supply Company of San Antonio, <br />Texas, the tractor-loader described in said Company's bid, namely, <br />one used Case Model 1000 Crawler-Loader-Counterweight, with <br />Cont. J.D. 382 Diesel Engine, Torque Converter, Power Shift I <br />Transmission, l~ Cu. Yd. Loader Bucket with teeth, together <br />with bill of sale conveying said tractor-loader to the City <br />of San Marcos. <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Secretary are further hereby <br />authorized to make payment for said tractor-loader by the <br />issuance of four time warrants in the following form: <br /> <br />glE <br />
