<br />Legislature, 1931, as amended, and the Charter of said City,
<br />
<br />interest-bearing time warrants of said City to be known as CITY
<br />
<br />I
<br />
<br />OF SAN MARCOS GENERAL PURPOSE WARRANTS, SERIES 1967, in the principal
<br />amount of $200,000.00, for the purpose of evidencing indebtedness
<br />of the City of San Marcos to be incurred for general operating
<br />
<br />purposes, including salaries, materials, supplies, and legal and
<br />other necessary general operating expenses of said City.
<br />Section 2. That said warrants shall be delivered to and accept-
<br />ed by claimants or their assignees in full settlement of the in-
<br />debtedness due them by the City of San Marcos, Texas, after claims
<br />have been duly approved, audited and allowed by the City Council
<br />of said City.
<br />Section 3. That said warrants shall be payable to bearer and
<br />shall be numbered from 1 to 200, inclusive; shall be in the denomina-
<br />tion of One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars each, aggregating Two
<br />II Hundred Thousand ($200,OOO.OO) Dollars; provided, however, that
<br />only such amount of said warrants shall be executed and delivered
<br />
<br />as shall be necessary to evidence the indebtedness actually in-
<br />curred for the purposes hereinabove set forth, the remaining war-
<br />
<br />rants, if any, to be cancelled and destroyed.
<br />Section 4. That said warrants shall be dated April 1, 1967,
<br />
<br /> and shall mature as follows:
