I Sealed bids on a used tractor loader were opened by the Mayor and read aloud. Mr. S~rur appointed Aldermen Korff and Whittenberg and Public Works Superintendent John R. Walker as a committee to check the equipment offered in the bids. The Mayor introduced an Ordinanc~ amanding the zoning map for the Hamilton property rezoned at a previous meeting. Alderman Korff moved adoption of the Ordinance. The Mayor read aloud a letter from Burke A. Alderman Whittenberg seconded the motion and on roll cal', the following ~ota was recorded: I AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the motion carried~ The Mayor introduced t~o p~titions for annexatioh, one being for annexation of a portion of Hackberry Street in Fairlawn Addition, the other being for annexation of the Adcock property in the Fairlawn Addition. Plats accompanying the petitians were examined by the Counci I. Alderman Pool moved that both petitions be accepted. Alderman Froh seconded the motion and on 1'01 I cal" the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the motion narried. I The Mayor introduced an item on the Agenda concerning the proposal made to the City by LCRA. He read a letter from the City Attorney, advising the Council against accepting the pro= posed LCRA contract as presented, see attached. After brief discussion of the matter, Alderman Pool moved that the City accept LCRA's proposal; without amendment. Alderman Whitten- berg seconded the motion. Lengthy discussion follo~ed. The Mayor counseled against acting against the City Attorney's adv ice. Dr. Poo I read a porti on of a I etter to the Counc i I, from Sim Gideon, Manager of LCRA, see attached.
